What do I love about ATB? So many things I could fill this entire bio! That’s because when I’m not a dance instructor, I’m a dance mom! And the best part of that is witnessing daily how excited my daughter gets to go to dance. I love that she has so many friends, such caring teachers, and a community of "moms" to always be there without even asking. ATB is truly a family for us and the love is priceless.
I started dancing and doing gymnastics when I was 3-years old. I was a competitive gymnast growing up and on the dance team in high school. In college, I was a member of the Augustana Pom Team and Dance Company.
I am the Develope Leader at ATB. When I’m not at the studio, you can find me in the school hallways. I am a K-6 Special Education teach for North Scott and I love it!
Teaching, no matter what form, enables me to share my passion, knowledge, and experience with young people. It’s so much more than just passing along how to do specific steps; it’s getting to know children, sharing in who they will become, and helping them to add something positive to the world. And if that isn’t enough, teaching is what each student helps me learn along the way.
Here at ATB I hope my students learn the most important thing is to be kind and respectful to each other and love oneself. They will also learn the harder you work, the farther you will go. Combine that with technique and dedication and it’s combination made for success!
Away from the studio, my husband Mat and I have two kids, Parker and Gracie.
