As Youth Development Director, my job is to provide the highest quality of dance education to those ages eight and younger. I develop our age appropriate curriculum, while still keeping classes fun, child-focused and educational. I’m also excited to provide expanding offerings such as Mommy and Me classes and Child Yoga.
I believe in positivity, family and creativity! All key elements of dance.
My love for dance traces back as far as I can remember. I started dance at 3, and competitively at age 5, at Denny’s School of Dance in Mason City, IA. When I was 14, I joined Victorias in Minneapolis, MN and then eventually went on to dance at the University of Iowa where I earned my BA in Spanish and International Business (while still studying dance).
Throughout my career, I won many national competitions, danced at Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm AND on Broadway in New York. One of the other highlights of my career so far, teaching thousands at Oprah’s Birthday Surprise Flash Dance in Chicago.
I am a Ballerobica certified instructor. I love teaching dance because it gives me expression, celebrates individuality and overall just makes me happy. It’s my goal to instill that same passion of dance within every child in my class.
“Don’t stress, do your best, forget the rest.” That’s what my students will learn!
