Jenny - Creative Development Director

As the Creative Development Director for ATB, I take on many administrative roles in addition to teaching. I am in charge of curriculum development and implementation, ensuring that our students are learning fresh and exciting material at all times. I also lead our newest adventure “Dance Delivered,” a community outreach program that allows anyone the opportunity to experience the art of dance.

I’ve been teaching for about 30 years during which time I’ve choreographed numerous award-winning pieces including 10 Grand National championship dances. I’ve also coached our ATB PowerHouse team and led them to a national championship!
I graduated from Marycrest College in Davenport, IA with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Speech/Theatre Communication and Dance. Over the years, I’ve choreographed many junior high, high school, collegiate, and community theatre productions.
My favorite style is tap, but my passion is watching the girls learn, grow and shine on stage!

Parents often ask me what keeps me coming back. The answer is easy. Seeing a dancer smile when they finally figure out the right step. Consulting them when they are sad because they had a hard day. And, the joy in their face as they light up the stage. Every moment, every memory - each is unique, for them and for me. The only job better than this is being a mom.

When I’m not teaching, I volunteer countless hours at my children’s schools. I live in Bettendorf with my husband, Mike, and our two children, Emma and Aiden.
